Over 5 years building web applications, with a First Class Honours degree in computer science (B.Sc. Computer Systems) from the University of Limerick.
I specialize in PHP and Laravel, and I've worked on everything from the frontend to APIs, databases, AWS and releases.

Background
Professional Journey
Since graduating in 2020 I've worked in-house at Portwest, on the e-commerce website behind most of a global workwear company's orders, and at Grandstand, on the publishing and content systems behind 50+ websites.
Alongside that I freelance, building websites for small businesses, most recently Dent Craft in Mayo and Teragreen here in Perth. I also build my own projects to try out new stacks, from Laravel apps to this SvelteKit site. They're all on the Projects page.
What I Bring
- 5+ years on production systems, including an e-commerce site used in 130+ countries, and the publishing systems behind 50+ websites
- Front end to back end: PHP (Laravel, Symfony), JavaScript (Vue.js), MySQL, REST APIs and AWS

Current Focus
Career Goals
I'm looking for an on-site or hybrid role in Perth. I specialize in PHP and Laravel, and I'm eager to use other stacks and keep learning new tools.
Construction and engineering are big in Perth, and I'd like to work in them, whether that's in development, IT or DevOps. E-commerce still interests me too.

I built this site myself with SvelteKit and Tailwind, as a place to show my work.
It's also where I try out newer web features, like the page transitions and the dark mode switch.
